Our history
The Bilingual Cristiano Higüey International School was founded in 2002 by Mr. Iván Dario Hernández Escobar and Mrs. Zoila Del Orbe, parents of Katherine Dariana Hernández Del Orbe who were concerned about the quality of education that their three-year-old daughter, who lives in Bávaro, would receive. .- We were looking for an institution with a Bilingual Spanish-English curriculum and at the same time a transforming education in values, Biblical principles and that would offer academic competitiveness and facilitate their professional studies anywhere in the world.- We decided to acquire the solar land owned by Mrs. Zoila Del Orbe's grandmother. Once the land was acquired to start the development of the project, we began the study of a school infrastructure where quality educational services could be offered assisted by the Architect Arturo Betances.- Parallel to the development of the construction, Mrs. Zoila Del orbe was working, knowing and learning the methodology of the A-Beka book Program at Villas del Mar International School from Mrs. María Elena, Director of this institution.- In August 2002 we opened the Bilingual Cristiano Higüey International School with a floor plan of five classrooms, 3 bathrooms for boys and 3 bathrooms for girls, and an office to serve 2 students who started with our daughter Katherine Dariana Hernandez Del Orbe, Aslyn Taveras Sanchez and Elaine Pion.
